Dream Dragons News and Gazette

A bit about Dragon

It all started a long long time ago, as I was born into this world at a very young age. Though I have no recollections of the event, I am sure it was a time of great joy and celebration marked with much pomp and circumstance as befits such an event.

I am sure some saw my childhood as mundane, perhaps even boring in some peculiar way. However, I lived within a world of specutacular feats, wonderous adventures and heros, as in my mind we raced from one noble cause to another...I can never forget those who kept me company on these treks through time and space, Pecos Bill, Paul Bunyan, Pippi Longstockings and all the rest, I salute you, and thank you for your dreams found upon a written page.

Some always asked what shaped you...I tend to blame it all on watching the Beatle's on the Ed Sullivan Show, though my brothers and sisters if reading this might wish to place the blame on Rosemary's Baby. We lived in a time of falling heroes back then, John Kennedy, his brother Robert, Martin Luther King, and to a lessor degree, even people like John Wayne who were simply BIGGER THAN LIFE. There were the hippy's, and of course everyone was protesting the war, but by the time I got out of high school Tricky Dick had gotten us out of Vietnam, and suddenly my generation seemed to have no cause, and the time of Camelot had passed us by.

After a sting as a bike messenger in San Francisco, realized I needed to do something with my life, so became a potter and sculptor for almost 20 years. Hey, it seemed so much better than getting a REAL JOB! Don't mistake me, I worked 12,14 even 16 hours a day, but somehow, going out to the studio and playing with mud all day NEVER seemed like work to me. Back in 1997 life threw me a curve and sold my pottery business, putting an end to that part of my life.

Now at almost 50, trying to reinvent myself, and looking for something I can do for work that I enjoy.

Dislikes
  • People with UGLY HEARTS. Have to give a nod to the IRS
  • and of course not overly fond of Mr. Bush who I just cannot bring myself to call President
  • and companies/corporations that look at my ecclectic resume and will not give me an interview in these day
